Começa o terceiro dia do 42º Torneio Intercolegial de Ciclismo. O Fushimi de Kyoto vem de uma vitória embalada pela performance de Midousuji no dia anterior, enquanto a Academia Hakone acumula cinco das seis vitórias possíveis nos dois primeiros dias, e é a favorita para vencer esta competição. Mas o Sohoku, atuais campeões da prova, não se dão por vencidos, e Imaizumi - antecipando uma estratégia da Hakone - traça sua própria manobra para continuar vivo na disputa.

1 - Because I Can Go to Akiba for Free

Onoda Sakamichi, a diehard anime fan, bikes 90 kilometers to and from Akiba to buy anime goods. Enrolled at Chiba Sohoku Public High School, he plans to join the anime club, hoping to make friends.

1 - Phase 49

There are 4 kilometers remaining to the finish line of the Inter-highs second day. Riding in the lead are Hakone Academy, Kyoto Fushimi, and Sohoku High, whose members were united through Sakamichis efforts.

1 - The Last Minegayama

The Sohoku High School Bicycle Racing Club has concluded their fierce battle at the Inter-High. First year Onoda Sakamichi and his classmates Imaizumi and Naruko switch to new bikes and are preparing for new battles on a team without the third-years. Sohokus new captain Teshima and his friend Aoyagi also begin working towards a second consecutive championship. As they prepare, Sakamichis idol Makishima has some words for him...

1 - The Final Phase

Its day one of the Tochigi Inter-high. Hakone Academys Doubashi takes the first result, and Hakone Academys Minami beats Sohoku captain Teshima in the subsequent mountain stage to win the King of the Mountains title. The steadily advancing Hakone Academy sends their ace Ashikiba and his assist Kuroda ahead towards the finish line! Hakone Academy believed Sohoku would have a late start on Black Cat Kuroda and his exceptionally flexible legs, but two-year duo Imaizumi and Naruko chase after him. In the intense final phase of the race, the battle for the finish line finally begins!

2 - Piranhas

2 - To Recruit More Members

Imaizumi challenges Sakamichi to a race up the schools steep rear gate slope. To spice up the competition, Imaizumi agrees to join the anime club if he loses. Sakamichi gives it his all, hoping to reform the club.

2 - The Aces

Just before the second days finish line as three schools compete for the lead, ace assistant Imaizumi aims to propel his ace ahead of the pack after the sharp turn.

2 - What Makishima Left Behind

Onoda is unable to recover from the shock of Makishima leaving the club to the go England before graduation. Meanwhile, in order to reclaim their crown, Hakone Academys new team also begins preparing. Among them is a new team member...

2 - The Two Aces!!

Kurodas pulling puts Hakone Academy in the lead as the competitors head towards the first days finish line, but Sohokus sprinter turned all-rounder Naruko Shoukichi shows off his strengths! By demonstrating a new special ability that allows him to go quickly even while racing uphill, he doesnt back down from the challenge. Told by Teshima to decide between themselves who will be the ace, Imaizumi and Naruko act more like rivals racing against each other than teammates working together, while Kuroda and Ashikiba demonstrate their battle-hardened coordination. Meanwhile, the shadow approaches from behind both teams...

3 - O Poder de Avançar Juntos

3 - I Don;t Have Any Friends

The race between Sakamichi and Imaizumi continues. Imaizumi has passed Sakamichi, but thanks to a seat adjustment from Miki, Sakamichi has more power than ever before.

3 - Akira

Midousujis unexpected solo attack before the sharp turn leaves him riding in the lead alone just before the finish line. However, Kinjou and Fukutomi place their teams hopes on their backs and exceed their limits to catch up to Midousuji.

3 - Teshima;s Ride of the Soul

Sohokus Onoda, Imaizumi, and Teshima participate in the fall Minegayama Hill Climb. Onoda is unable to pull himself out of his slump, he is overcome with uncertainty. Meanwhile, Hakone Academy has sent their second-year Ashikiba Takuto. As Ashikiba overwhelms the other riders with his Metronome Dancing that makes use of his towering 202 centimeters, Sohokus new captain Teshima takes him on with his soulful riding!

3 - The Appointed Time

Sohoku and Hakone Academy are locked in a fierce battle! Just when it looks like the first days victory will go to one of two teams, Kyoto Fushimis Midousuji and Kishigami suddenly make a sneak attack from behind!! And the one who responds is...?!

4 - The Team of Two

Teshima and Aoyagi break away from the pack to pursue the riders ahead of them, but Kyoto Fushimi stands in their way. In order to complete the objective given to him by Midousuji, Yamaguchi challenges Teshima and Aoyagi to a sprint that comes with a catch. As a climber, the terms are disadvantageous for Teshima, but they cant move forward without accepting the challenge. Out of concern for Aoyagi, who cant sprint at full speed due to an injured leg, Teshima pulls him along, and Aoyagi recalls how they met as he watches him…

4 - Naruko Shoukichi

With the rear gate slope race over, Sakamichi returns to Akiba to buy some more anime goods. There, he runs into Naruko Shoukichi, a boy with a Kansai accent whos riding a bike.

4 - Resolution

Just before the second days finish line, Kinjou and Fukutomi pass Midousuji. Who will cross the finish line first...?!

4 - The Fastest Man on Minegayama

Feeling the passionate waves of Teshimas ride of the soul during the Minegayama Hill Climb, Sakamichi rides all out to catch up to Ashikiba! Who will win the race...?! After the race, Ashikiba meets with third-year Fukutomi. He has his own past... Later, Tadokoro starts his last race, the Bay Coast Criterium. A three-way race between keepers of the Sohoku sprinters spirit, Tadokoro, Naruko, and Aoyagi begins!

4 - Five Men;s Resolve

The dead heat between Midousuji and Naruko at the front of the race continues! Behind them Kuroda pulls as hard as he can, but the two in front of them remain out of sight. Saying Hakone Academy has nothing left to lose, Ashikiba, who had only been pulled until now, switches places with Kuroda and begins his Metronome Dancing. They are rapidly closing the gap. Imaizumi also pedals as hard as he can so he can support Naruko. Midousuji, Naruko, Kuroda, Ashikiba, and Imaizumi... The time has come for these five men who have steeled their resolve to settle the score!

5 - Senior

Teshima and Aoyagi win their sprint race against Kyoto Fushimi and rejoin their team. Sakamichi enjoys racing with all six of his team members, but it doesnt last long. Aoyagis legs, which have been pulling the team with all their might in order to catch up to Hakone Academy, have been in pain since the previous day and are nearing their limit. Kaburagi cant hold back his tears as he watches the upperclassmans back. By taking on Aoyagis hopes and racing for the team, Kaburagi experiences great personal growth of his own.

5 - The Sohoku High School Bicycle Racing Team

Sakamichi returns to high school where he runs into Naruko at the schools store. Naruko encourages Sakamichi to join the cycling club with him, but Sakamichi doesnt want to give up on the anime club.

5 - The Three Kilometers to the Pharmacy

After his loss on the second day of the Inter-high, Midousuji says he wont participate in tomorrows race and leaves the hotel alone. While riding back to Kyoto, Midousuji runs into Sakamichi...

5 - A Different Bicycle Training Ground

Fearing the team will get worse now that the third-years are gone, Imaizumi makes a shocking suggestion to Naruko in order to help the team win. After hearing his suggestion, Naruko heads back to his hometown of Osaka.

5 - 3 Seconds Less

Midousuji, who has released his full power and metamorphosized, and Naruko, who shows off the pure full-power sprint hes honed for this day, approach the finish line. But Kurodas extremely close cornering and desperate assistance propels Ashikiba forward to catch up to them! I am strong! With a push on the back from Kuroda, Ashikiba enters a three-way finish line sprint with Midousuji and Naruko! As they throw their bikes towards the finish line, they cross at nearly the same time. Who will win the first day of the Inter-high...?!

6 - Doubashi Masakiyo;s Inter-High

Both Kaburagi and Doubashi are exhausted, but they find the strength to single-mindedly pull their teams even as they threaten to lose consciousness.

6 - Welcoming Race

The welcoming race begins. Sakamichi is excited to, once again, race against Imaizumi and Naruko.

6 - Those Who Have

The Inter-high enters its final day. Before the race begins, as each schools tension reaches its peak, Machimiya of Hiroshima Kureminami appears before Sakamichi and his team.

6 - Naruko vs. Midousuji

Searching for his answer to how to make Sohoku stronger, Naruko arrives in Osaka, where hes challenged to a race by Kyoto Fushimis ace Midousuji for something important. Their sprint for honor is about to begin!

6 - Sohoku Shaken

Hakone Academys ace Ashikiba Takuto wins the three-way battle for the first day of the Inter-high! Naruko and Midousuji just narrowly tie for second. Having won all of the first days number tags, Hakone Academy reclaims its throne. Naruko acts cheerful during the award ceremony, but his heart is trembling with frustration. Not only did Sohoku place second in all stages, but Kaburagi collapses from exhaustion, and a disquieting atmosphere settles on the team. Just as Sakamichi is looking anxious, former Sohoku captain Kinjou appears before him...

7 - FINAL ROAD!

Sent off by their sprinters, both teams enter the final mountains. Sohoku suffers repeated attacks from Hakone Academy and its four climbers, but through the efforts of sprinter-turned-allrounder Naruko, they make it through somehow. However, when they enter the flats between the peaks, Hakone Academys captain Izumida pulls his team, and they suddenly accelerate! Ace sprinter Izumidas finely-honed muscles and spear-like racing leave Sohoku behind in an instant!

7 - I Want to Catch Up!

With his new road racer, Sakamichi quickly moves up from sixth to fourth place and makes up a five minute deficit. The captain sees Sakamichis determination and decides to test his skills.

7 - ROAD.7 The Pack Approaches

The third day of the Inter-high has finally begun. Sohoku and Hakone Academy cooperate in order to reach the aces who started before them. Meanwhile, Hiroshima Kureminamis Machimiya gathers the rear pack and begins cooperating with them as well.

7 - The Last Meet

Hakone Accademy holds its traditional fun ride to send off its third-years. In order to inherit the champions will of Hakone Academy and overcome their idols, Izumida and the other members of the new generation go all out against the third-years!

7 - Footsteps of Hope

Sakamichi meets Kinjou, who tells him to become stronger. He learns that Makishima and Tadokoro have come to cheer on the team as well and tells the rest of the team shaken by the first days loss. Team Sohoku resolves to approach the rest of the race with a new attitude. Meanwhile, the similarly defeated Midousuji of Kyoto Fushimi begins planning a new strategy for the second days race... The morning of the second day dawns. Hakone Academys Shinkai Yuto strikes up a conversation with Sakamichi. Lets race at some point today.

8 - Teshima;s Orders

Before the race, Captain Teshima told Sakamichi that he wouldnt be the mountain ace at this Inter-High so the team could focus on taking out Hakone Academys formidable climber Manami early during their first attack. However, in order to close the unexpected gap created by Izumidas sprint, Teshima sacrifices himself and pulls the team. The passionate vibrations of every step he takes forward reach not only Sakamichi and the rest of Team Sohoku but Hakone Academy ace Ashikiba as well…!

8 - Sprint Climb!!

Sakamichi finally catches up to Imaizumi and Naruko, stoking their competitive natures.

Machimiyas rear pack swallows Sakamichi. Hiroshima Kureminami quickly abandons the pack and uses the energy they conserved to chase after the front...

8 - Finish Line

At the Hakone Academy send-off race, Izumida shows Shinkai how much he has grown. As they enter the mountain stage, Toudou and Manamis climbing race begins, and Toudou begins talking to Manami...

8 - Second Day, Start!

Day two of the Inter-high has begun, and the riders leave the starting line in the order they finished on the first day. Sakamichi and Teshima pedal to catch up to Imaizumi and Naruko in the lead, but Kaburagi notices hes feeling strange. Meanwhile, Hakone Academy maintains a slow pace in order to meet up with their shot caller Kuroda. Not feeling well, Kaburagi is eventually separated from his team. When Sakamichi tries to go help him, Teshima stops him, fearing how Hakone Academy will respond. Then Aoyagi opens his mouth...

9 - Transfer Student

Teshima and Ashikiba reflect on their shared history as they prepare to race for the mountain result line.

9 - Full Power VS Full Power

Determined to become the King of the Mountain in Minegayama, Sakamichi raises his RPMs to catch up to Imaizumi.

9 - The Fighting Dog of Kure

Arakita accepts Sakamichis desperate request to cooperate. Together with Manami, the trio catches up to Machimiya through Arakitas beastly pulling. Hiroshima Kureminamis Ibiya proposes a 20 meter gap race to Arakita. Machimiya reveals the fighting instincts he was hiding and rides completely out of control!

9 - New Sohoku, Start!

Onoda, Imaizumi, and Naruko become second-years, and numerous new first-years join the Sohoku bicycle racing club. Among them are Kaburagi Issa and Danchiku Ryuhou, who have been riding since middle school!

9 - Sash of Wishes

Aoyagi ignores Teshimas attempts to stop him and goes back to save Kaburagi, who has fallen behind. Meanwhile, with encouragement from Koga, Kaburagi begins to regain his form, but hes still not at full strength. Thats when he sees... Aoyagi! Believing Aoyagi has also become exhausted and fallen behind, he moves up and begins racing ahead instead! They catch up to the pack in front of them. In order to get ahead of and out of the pack, Aoyagi hands Kaburagi a note from God so hell increase his pace. On that note is written the lyrics to a certain song...!

10 - Resonating Vibrations

Neither Teshima nor Ashikiba back down in their intense battle for the King of the Mountain. Though Teshima desperately clings to Ashikiba, his legs are approaching their limit. Teshima was often called an average racer, but believing his dedication and ability to push himself beyond his limits is his greatest strength, he continues pedaling. His passion inspires spectators to call his name, and when Ashikiba recognizes his strength as well, Teshima unleashes unexpected capabilities.

10 - Peak Spider

With the welcoming race over, each of the first years is given special training by other members of the team.

10 - The Domain that Lies Ahead

Machimiyas resentment towards Hakone Academy explodes and viciously headbutts Arakita as he rides out of control. Seeing Machimiya, Arakita recalls his past...

10 - The Sugimoto Brothers; Bond

The first-year race has started. Sugimoto, whose goal is to become the sixth regular, rides among them. However, first-year duo Kaburagi and Danchiku show off their awesome speed... Can Sugimoto keep up?

10 - #16, Shinkai Yuto

Realizing Kyoto Fushimi is ahead of the pack, Aoyagi hands Kaburagi a note from God so they can escape the pack. Written on the note are the lyrics to the anime song his senior Tadokoro claims saved him during the Inter-high, Love Hime Pancake! The two of them suddenly accelerate while singing together. Ahead of them, Hakone Academy catches up to Teshima and Sakamichi, and first-year climber Shinkai Yuto bares his teeth! After passing Teshima, Yuto issues a challenge to Sakamichi. And in order to protect Imaizumi and Naruko in the front, Sakamichi accepts his challenge!

11 - The Skies Above

Sohoku and Hakone Academy begin making moves towards the final finish line. As Hakone Academy accelerates due to climber Shinkais attack, sprinter-turned-allrounder Naruko fights back with his own astute climbing. Having received their final orders from Teshima, the team charges ahead all full speed! However, what seemed to be a race to the finish between Sohoku and Hakone Academy is thrown into chaos by the appearance of Kyoto Fushimi, who has been secretly biding their time in the back!

11 - Human Bullet Train!!

One day has passed since special training. The freshmen are in class when they learn that the Inter-High Preliminaries have started.

11 - Survival

Arakita, who let go of his past and faced only forward, defeats Machimiya. All six members of Sohoku and Hakone Academy are united as they head into the final stage!

11 - Conclusion

Sugimoto catches up to Kaburagi and Danchiku through his synchronized riding with his younger brother Sadatoki. The first-year welcoming race comes down to a sprint to the finish between favorites Kaburagi and Danchiku and Sugimoto! Who will win the race...?!

11 - Mountain King

Sakamichi and Yutos battle has begun. Yuto is excited to compete against Sakamichi, who has come to be called the Mountain King, and challenges him to a race to reach their teammates riding at the front. Yuto finds Sakamichis willingness to ride for the team strange and races ahead. However, Imaizumi and Naruko realize Sakamichi is coming, and the race ends in a draw. However, Kuroda and the rest of Hakone Academy catch up, and they take control of the race. Will they go after them or wait for Teshima... Imaizumi is forced to make a decision...

12 - Onslaught!!

Sohoku and Hakone Academy begin making moves towards the final finish line. As Hakone Academy accelerates due to climber Shinkais attack, sprinter-turned-allrounder Naruko fights back with his own astute climbing. Having received their final orders from Teshima, the team charges ahead all full speed! 12 - First Day of Camp!

The Sohoku High bicycle racing club holds a training camp to prepare for the Inter-High. As a carsick Sakamichi makes his way to camp, he encounters cyclist Manami Sangaku.

12 - Izumida;s Pride

Arakita sacrifices himself to pull his team, and Hakone Academy accelerates as they carry on his will. As Sohoku does their best to keep up, Izumida exhibits a desperate sprint!

12 - Trouble!

Believing hell ride as the ace in the Chiba qualifiers for the Inter-High, Kaburagi is eagerly anticipating the race, but hes hit by one accident after another. Will Sohoku High School be able to ride in the Inter-High...?!

12 - Fallen Hopes

The now whole Hakone Academy team accelerates, and Naruko ignores Imaizumis orders and goes after them alone! Later, Teshima joins up with Imaizumi and Sakamichi, but he cant increase his pace. Kishigami Komari appears with the rest of Kyoto Fushimi in tow, passing Sohoku! Frustrated by his lapse in judgment, Imaizumi speaks harshly to Teshima, while the sound of something breaking can be heard in his heart... Meanwhile, Hakone Academy and Kyoto Fushimi head into the sprint. It looks to be a race between Izumida and Midousuji... but instead a surprising man approaches...!

13 - He Who Carries Guilt

The battle for the sprint result has begun. Hakone Academy sends its captain and sprinter Izumida against Kyoto Fushimis Kishigami Komari, the man obsessed with Izumidas ultimate muscles! Izumida recalls how Ashikiba and Kuroda encouraged him when he lost the previous years Inter-high and felt conflicted about whether or not he was worthy of captaining the team. Carrying all his guilt and resolve on his back, Izumida sprints ahead! But Kishigamis obsession with the ultimate muscles drives him to keep up!

13 - Shinkai Yuuto;s Resolve

The race to the finish is thrown into chaos by Kyoto Fushimis sudden attack. In order to stop Midousuji from reaching the front, Shinkai Yuto stands in his way. Though normally strong-willed and easygoing, the numerous battles and mounting pressure have pushed him to his limit. Shinkais interest in only his own victories transforms into a desire to see Hakone Academys jersey win. When Komari sees Shinkai steel his resolve, he is captivated by his extraordinary “flesh.”

13 - Imaizumi and Naruko;s 1000km

The first day of training is over. Imaizumi, Naruko, and Sugimoto have all managed to complete 200km while Onoda has only completed 165km.

13 - Flat-Out Run at Lake Yamanaka

Shinkais demon sprint allows Hakone to slowly pull ahead of Sohoku even further. Not wanting to lose any ground or teammates, the seniors of Sohoku step to the front of the line and decide to rotate the lead while gaining ground.

13 - 1000km Again

With their spot at the Inter-High secured, Sohoku High School jumps straight into their 1000 kilometer training camp from hell. The grueling practice menu leaves Kaburagi unable to hide his anxiety. And an unexpected man shows up at the training camp...

14 - Heart;s Wrapping, Heart;s Case

The sprint battle becomes heated! Kishigami rides with all his desires unleashed. He has been interested in muscles since he was a child, but he hid his interest due to his prestigious familys teachings. However, after meeting Midousuji in middle school and being told if you want the truth, you have to offer up your entire self, his desires were awakened. The result line approaches, and Izumida and Kishigamis battle grows even more intense. Izumida rides as the captain of Hakone Academy. I wont hide it anymore! Kishigami announces, now completely unrestrained. How will the race end--?!

14 - Naruko VS Manami, a Tense Battle

Naruko challenges ace climber Manami to a race on the climb so his teammates can hold onto their lead.

14 - Reunion at Dawn

The third day of camp. While riding alone in the early morning, Sakamichi runs into Manami, the boy he met on the first day of camp.

14 - The Final Strategy

The teams reach the final climb of Day 3, a massive mountain stage. Hakone makes its move and sends Manami, Toudou, and Fukutomi up the final mountain.

14 - The Ordinary Man and the Genius

Teshima and Koga race for a spot on the Inter-High team. Koga drives Teshima into a corner with his powerful riding, but he has a past behind him. Meanwhile, Teshima desperately hangs on!

15 - The Sprint Line of Delight

Izumida and Kishigamis all out sprint is in its final stage when a fans water bottle falls onto the course. Andy and Frank signal Izumida to slow down and avoid the obstacle. However, Izumida recalls his race against Tadokoro and Naruko at last years Inter-high and charges ahead! And the winner is... Izumida! As the captain of Hakone Academy and the teams ace sprinter, he has fulfilled his heavy responsibility. Though Kishigami fails to satisfy his desire for muscles, he accepts his defeat.

15 - Offense and Defense! Downhill!!

Naruko defeats Manami and catches up to lead riders Sakamichi and Imaizumi. With their dream of finishing the race together so close to coming true, Sakamichi is elated. However, Naruko is nearly exhausted after battling against Manami and Shinkai. Kuroda is rapidly catching up from behind, and Midousuji also attacks with the finish line so near! A fierce battle for the lead begins on the high-speed downhill!

15 - Strategy

After his meeting with Manami, Sakamichi is more excited than ever to take part in the Inter-High. In order to participate, Sakamichi realizes he must first ride 1,000 kilometers and begins matching paces and laps with Imaizumi and Naruko.

15 - Naruko;s True Worth!

Naruko refuses to give up the lead as Sohoku races up the mountain. He uses his sprinters climb to help the team gain momentum, and just as he appears to be tired Naruko decides to debut his new move: the Armstrong Climb. Narukos spirit ignites to crowd to cheer for Sohoku, but it has some unexpected consequences.

15 - Koga;s Goal

The winner of the race for a spot on the Inter-High team is Teshima. The defeated Koga entrusts the other six with his passionate will. And an unexpected duo shows up at the Sohoku High School training camp...

16 - Sohoku Falls Behind

Excited by Izumida taking the sprint result, Hakone Academy pushes to the front. Meanwhile, Sohokus team is scattered, and their terrible situation continues. Naruko expends energy as he clings to the lead pack and waits for the rest of his team to catch up. Teshima, Sakamichi, and Imaizumi are passed by Kumamoto Daiichi, and they fall deeper into despair. However, Sakamichi cheerfully asserts Aoyagi and Kaburagi will catch up and continues pedaling. When Teshima looks behind him, he sees a pair of yellow jerseys come into view--!

16 - The Naruko Super Express!!

Midousuji leaps into first with a desperate diving turn. More than 200 meters behind in the final stages of the race, Sohoku chases after Midousuji on the Naruko Super Express final trip. Even as Narukos consciousness fades, he throws away everything to reduce his weight, and Sakamichi realizes theres no way the three of them will finish together anymore. Imaizumi and Naruko express their gratitude for Narukos resolve. Naruko accepts their thanks and uses the last of his strength to ride with determination!

16 - Breakthrough

Second years Teshima and Aoyagi stand between the first years and their goal to finish 1,000 kilometers. In order to protect their lead, the second years challenge the first years.

16 - Imaizumi the Ace!

Thanks to Narukos sacrifice Sohoku manages to catch Hakone. Fukutomi admits he thought Sohoku would fall apart and yet they managed to catch up, but he says they can never prevail without a true ace. Imaizumi declares that he is the new ace and he will take first.

16 - The Second Inter-High

The day of the Inter-High has finally arrived! Sohoku High School is aiming for a second consecutive championship, Hakone Academy High school is looking to reclaim their throne, and Kyoto Fushimi High School is led by Midousuji as the nations strongest schools gather. 17 - Start of the Mountains

Kaburagi and Aoyagi, who had fallen behind, catch up to their team, and Sohoku is finally reunited. With five of their members together, the team begins to see hope. Sakamichi thinks of his promise to race against Manami once again as he rides. Meanwhile, the lead pack has already left the flats and entered the mountain stage! In anticipation of the mountain result and the finish line that lies beyond it, the lead pack starts to pick up momentum. Hakone Academys Manami is also thinking of Sakamichi, but Kuroda is cautious about Kyoto Fushimis movements. And when Midousuji and his team attack, a back-and-forth battle begins!

17 - Shifting Wind

Its the last day of the Inter-High, and the lead riders are 4.5 kilometers away from the finish line. In order to defend their lead position won by Narukos desperate resolve, Imaizumi challenges Midousuji. Despite being mentally broken by Midousuji numerous times, Imaizumi grew with his teams support, and he doesnt flinch from Midousujis risky tactics as he rides like an ace! However, it suddenly begins raining on the last downhill before the finish line! The risky battle between Imaizumi and Midousuji in the rain begins!

17 - Onoda in Last Place

After Sakamichi breaks through Teshimas impregnable guard, Teshima loses his will to fight. Aoyagis insistence that they go to the Inter-High together, however, gives Teshima the strength to carry on.

17 - Hakone Academy #6

Midosuji catches up to Onoda and company and is able to get ahead of the ace climbers. Seeing no other choice Toudou sends Manami ahead to keep Midosuji contained.

17 - Start!!!

Just before the race starts, Midousuji hastily adds Kishigami Komari to the Kyoto Fushimi High School team. Kishigami approaches Imaizumi, and... Meanwhile, the identity of the sixth member of Hakone Academy High School is revealed!

18 - Naruko;s Determination

Sakamichi turns his pedals in order to fulfill his promise to battle Manami at the Inter-high. He and his team catch up to Hakone Academy, but its not the lead pack. Ashikiba and Midousuji have gone on ahead. Due to the change in circumstances, Manami tells Sakamichi that they cant battle. Teshima orders Sakamichi to go after the lead pack. Steeling his resolve, Sakamichi and Imaizumi race their pace. Meanwhile, at the lead pack, in contrast with Hakone Academy, Kyoto Fushimi, and Kumamoto Daiichi, Naruko battles alone, believing his teammates will catch up!

18 - Water Gate Dive

Imaizumi and Midousuji engage in a high-risk downhill battle in the sudden rain. Meanwhile, Sakamichi does his best to catch up to Imaizumi while struggling with the unfamiliar rainy downhill. While competing fiercely for first, Imaizumi and Midousuji charge into a giant puddle that will determine their race! Imaizumi, who has awakened as Sohokus ace, pushes past his limits, and unable to seize victory, Midousuji falls behind and collapses on the rainy sidewalk...

18 - All Out Battle

After falling to last place, Sakamichi catches up to Imaizumi, Naruko, Teshima, and Aoyagi. Admist their emotions, the five boys clash in an all out sprint to the finish line!

18 - Step by Step

Manami reveals how he has advanced so far in races, by using nature and feeling it out. When he senses a gust of wind coming Manami uses it to propel himself ahead of Midosuji.

18 - The Swelling Aoyagi

The race has begun! Teams begin to send their sprinters forward -- Hakone sends the new, imposing Doubashi ahead. Sohouku sends Aoyagi and Kaburagi, who still believes he is an all-rounder.

19 - The Approaching Peak

Believing Sakamichi and Imaizumi will catch up, Naruko withstands Midousujis attacks and battles against Ashikiba and Yuto alone in the lead pack. Just when it looks like Naruko is finally about to fall, Sakamichi and Imaizumi appear behind him! Inspired by Naruko, together they charge ahead towards the mountain result and finish line! Now at a disadvantage, Midousuji tricks Mizuta into pulling for him by tempting him with the mountain result. Meanwhile, Sakamichi overwhelms the others with his awesome riding. Even Yuto is shocked when he sees the Mountain King demonstrate his true strength...

19 - Final Orders

Imaizumi wins the battle in the rain and rides in the lead. Sakamichi catches up to him, and Sugimoto and the other supporting members cheer for Team Sohoku as they ride alone in the lead. While Sohoku goes for the one-two finish, Kuroda and Manami of Hakone Academy close in from behind. Kuroda sends off Manami, who instantly jumps into the lead. The dangerous situation leaves Sakamichi bewildered, but theres only one thing he can do for the team. Imaizumi gives him the final order of taking their jersey to the finish line, and Sakamichi chases after Manami at full power...!

19 - A New Start

Having completed the difficult training camp, Sakamichi has grown, but lacks the experience and strength of the other members. Disillusioned, he begins to give up on his dream of going to the Inter-High.

19 - Sakamichi;s Job

Onoda fails to hold off Midosuji. Then he remembers the words from Naruko about how he clings to someone when racing and doesnt let go. Onoda begins to cling to the back of Midosujis bike and is tricked into running off the road by Midosuji.

19 - Road Monster Doubashi

Doubashi shows his grit as members of Hakone Cycling Club previously tried to expel him. Kaburagi and Aoyagi make a quiet comeback, but what is Doubashi hiding?

20 - King of the Mountain

The badly disadvantaged Midousuji sends Mizuta after the King of the Mountains title to bait a reaction from Ashikiba and his pride in the champions Hakone Academy. The mountain title goes to Ashikiba, but he expends precious stamina. Seizing his opportunity, Midousuji accelerates. Imaizumi also races for the finish line with Sakamichi and his teams hopes on his back. Yuto finds himself unable to understand the actions of Ashikiba, who was supposed to compete for the finish line as the teams ace. However, Ashikiba tells him he hasnt given up on the finish line yet. Yuto thinks back on when he first joined the bicycle team and how he clashed with upperclassmen who only saw him as the younger brother of Hayato...

20 - At the Aquarium in May

Two kilometers from the finish line, Sakamichi receives his final orders from Imaizumi and is entrusted with winning the race. He steels his resolve and chases after Manami. In early spring before the Inter-High, Sakamichi and Manami bump into each other at the aquarium Team Sohoku visited on their way back from a race. There they promise to go all out against each other at the summers Inter-High. When they end up racing for the finish line on the final day, despite their bewilderment and their teams victories weighing upon them, they are delighted by their fated race against each other.

20 - Manami Sangaku

As Sohokus team eagerly awaits the upcoming Inter-High, the Hakone club holds individual elimination races and fills all but one remaining spot.

20 - Imazumi vs. Midosuji

Sakamichi reaches the lead pack and joins Imaizumi, and the pair reaffirms their desire to win. Without a moments delay, Midousuji begins his attack!

20 - Full-throttle Kaburagi

As Doubashi closes in from behind, Aoyagi musters his strength with a new technique, but Doubashi catches up. However, behind him is Kaburagi...! The final result will be decided!

21 - Limiter

When Yuto first joined the team, he felt isolated from the other members due to his older brother Hayato. After seeing Yuto clash with his seniors, Ashikiba challenges him to a race. It ends with a crushing victory for Ashikiba, and Yuto learns to respect him and his strength. Just before Sakamichi and Manamis race to the finish, Kuroda pulls for Manami from their position behind the lead riders. One year ago, after falling into a depression when he was beaten by Manami in the qualifier, he resolved to restore Hakone Academy to its former glory when Arakita entrusted him with the team. Kuroda, who rides shrewdly when he activates his switch, endures the pain in the leg before finally trusting Manami with his own hopes and sending him off. Manami spreads his wings and accelerates. Meanwhile, as Sakamichi falls behind, for some reason a song begins playing in his head!

21 - Snake of the Stone Path

The first years learn about the previous years Inter-High and the rivalry between Kinjou and Fukutomi.

After a photo-finish, Doubashi wins the first result, and Hakone Academy High School makes its first move. As Hakone Academy High School begins to pull ahead, Sohoku falls into their trap as the pack edges near...with a specific target in mind.

22 - Three Powerhouses

The finish line of the Inter-Highs second day is close. Imaizumi, Yuto, and Midousujis race to the finish line heats up! Having removed his limited, Imaizumi rides ahead of the others. Meanwhile, Midousuji thinks back on visiting his mother in the hospital to more clearly imagine himself grasping victory. Finally, Yuto recalls a time when he simply enjoyed riding his bike with his older brother Hayato. Have you heard the demon that appears on Hakones straight roads has a younger brother? Yuto becomes a sprinting demon like his brother! Who will win the battle just before the finish line?

22 - Let My Voice Reach You

The class rep waits for Manami at the finish line in the mountains in order to show her support. When Manami was distraught over losing to Sohoku at last years Inter-High, she didnt know what to say to him. She became concerned about the way he practiced to the point of injuring himself and asked Toudou for advice, but he responded that the deep wounds Manami suffered wouldnt heal right away, and all she could do was watch over him. One year later, the class rep sensed Manami was finding an answer as the race approached.

22 - The Inter-High Begins

Sakamichi and team arrive at Enoshima, the starting point for the Inter-High. Nervous at first, Sakamichis anxiety fades as his teammates cheer him on.

22 - Manami and Sakamichi

When Imaizumis frame breaks during his battle against Midousuji, Manami quickly overtakes him. Realizing he cannot catch Manami himself, he entrusts Sakamichi with the soul of Sohoku.

When Sakamichi is swallowed by the pack and kept in check by the other teams, he cant move or act. As the leaders enter the mountain stage, Hakone Academy High Schools Manami jumps ahead of the group, while Sohoku High School sends him...?!

23 - Winner

The Inter-Highs second days finish line is approaching! There are 20 meters remaining in the three way sprint between Imaizumi, Yuto, and Midousuji! Imaizumi rides for his teammates who helped him get this far. Yuto overcomes his complex relating to his distinguished brother and rides for the champions Hakone Academy. Midousuji rides simply for his own victory. With their hopes riding on their pedals, they charge across the finish line! Who will finish first...?! That night, while riding to shake off his anxiety towards the third day, Sakamichi encounters a man while riding in the mountains...!

23 - Top Sprinter!!

The first day of the Inter-High begins. Sakamichi hopes to finish with Imaizumi and Naruko by his side. As they enter the flats, the sprinters get to shine.

23 - The Promised Road

Entrusted with Sohokus hopes, Sakamichi charges straight ahead. Meanwhile, Manami shifts up gear by gear as he rides for the peak.

23 - Sakamichi;s Pursuit

Sakamichi is absorbed by the pack, but in order to save Teshima and his team, he begins to accelerate as he sings his favorite anime song! However, Kyoto Fushimi High Schools Midousuji stands in his way, and...

24 - The Small Pass

Its the night of the second day of the Inter-High. Sakamichi encounters Hakone Academy alum Toudou Jinpachi on a mountain road, who says hes riding because he received a call from someone. That man is... Makishima Yuusuke! As Sakamichi experiences a mix of surprise and joy, Makishima and Toudou begin to race! They tie again and again as they race a second, then a third time... Sakamichis emotions rise as he watches them. After their race, Makishima tells Onoda to stay true to himself, and Onodas resolve is renewed. Meanwhile, Manamis competitive spirit also swells upon hearing Toudous words.

24 - Trembling Izumida

All sprinters race toward the first checkpoint. Leaders Tadokoro and Naruko are pursued by Hakones Izumida, a formidable opponent whos trained just for this day.

24 - Winner

Sakamichi pedals to take his teams jersey to the finish line, and Manami strains to reach the peak. As both competitors ride all-out, the Inter-high comes to a close!

24 - The Ride of Weeds

Teshima desperately races up Irohazaka in pursuit of Manami, whos aiming for the mountain result. Manami is disinterested in Teshimas orindary riding, while Teshima tenaciously hangs on. Just when Teshima is given a chance to get a head...he stops?!

25 - Their Respective Starting Lines

The morning of the final day of the Inter-High has arrived. By working together, all six members of Sohoku have made it to this point. Hakone Academy has ridden with the sole intention of reclaiming their throne. Kyoto Fushimi has eliminated all excess and focuses only on victory. Along with the other schools, they stand at their respective starting lines with their eyes on the summit!

25 - Loss

With only 700 meters until the first check point, Tadokoro, Naruko and Izumida are neck-and-neck.

25 - Look Up at the Sky

The mountain result line is just ahead. As Manami rides all out and Teshima rides at his limit, Manami suddenly has mechanical problems! Teshima pedals as hard as he can! Where is Onoda?

26 - I Can See The Sky

The race to the first checkpoint comes down to three men. The battle is ultimately decided by their determination to win, and the race enters the mountain stage.

27 - Toudou, God of the Mountains

When Sakamichi falls and ends up in last place, Makishima takes over to lead the team through the mountain stage.

28 - 100 Man Barrier

Now in last place, Sakamichi must find a way to pass 100 men and catch up to his team.

29 - The Summit

As he closes in on the top of the mountain, Makishima moves into second place, in place to challenge his rival, Hakones Toudou, for the lead.

30 - Arakita and Imaizumi

Arakita and Imaizumi help pull Kinjou and Fukutomi toward the finish line, hoping to help their team gain the advantage. With just four kilometers to go, Sohoku and Hakone find themselves in a dead heat.

31 - The Strong Three

Just before the finish line, Midousuji, astoundingly, closes in on the aces. In order to protect his ace, Imaizumi chases after Midousuji, pushing his body to the limit.

32 - Night of Hope

After a long first day, Fukutomi, Kinjou, and Midousujis three-way battle ends in a three-way tie. As the winners of each sections checkpoint are celebrated, Tadokoro falls ill.

33 - You Are the Princess

The longest stage of the three day Inter-High begins on the second day. With orders to climb the pass and catch up to Kinjou and Imaizumi, Sakamichi begins riding.

34 - Shinkai Hayato

Team Sohokus members are separated. Hakone Academy and Midousujis Kyoto Fushimi sprint ahead, leaving a panicked Imaizumi and Kinjou behind.

35 - The Winner

Although Makishima and Naruko have met up with the group, Sohoku remains at a disadvantage. However, knowing Sakamichi and Tadokoro are catching up from behind, they once again pursue the teams in the lead.

36 - Strongest and Fastest

Only 100 meters to the sprint checkpoint. In his battle against Midousuji, Shinkai propels himself faster than ever. In the face of such overwhelming power, Midousuji removes the tape on his thighs and rides at full strength.

37 - Passing the Crown

With Sakamichi and Tadokoro caught up, team Sohoku finally has all six members. As if pulled along by Sakamichis efforts, Imaizumi and Naruko begin riding as one.

38 - The Soul of Sohoku

The race seems to be going according to Kyoto Fushimi Midousujis plan, but Hakone Academy regains their pace through their powerful trust.
